I've got an irritating "problem" using Moz 1.4 (came with the distro). When I use Mozilla or Firebird in windows, I can middle mouse click the tab, and it will close. Not so in my linux. it pastes whatever is in the clipboard and then the autosearch function kicks in. I've tried every mouse setting I could find, and it still persists. any idea's??

I take it you mean clicking both the right and left mouse buttons at the same time for a middle mouse button click? Or does your mouse use the click of the scroll to make the middle mouse button click?

Hi Fran, yes, Three button mouse, middle button is clickable scroll, I have all my various Mozilla's / Firebird's set up to open a link in a background tab (which it does), and close a tab that the pointer is over. That it does not do in linux, moz 1.4.
