Owyn
The Linux Complete Backup and Recovery HowTo covers a lot of the options. One simple approach for yourself, diskspace permitting, is to backup files from your notebook to your desktop and vice-versa.If you have a CD burner. Then, CD-RW or CD-R are about the best backup media.Mondo Rescue is a great program, but, you have to do some advance planning to get the best use out of it. You also definitely need adequate backup media to use it effectively.Freshmeat has a large list of backup software.
tenspeed
Thanks for reply Mel & Owyn. I've looked at Mondo but it's overkill for what I want to do. I'll cruise Freshmeat to see what's available. Jay
