Arena2045 Posted December 17, 2003 Posted December 17, 2003 Hello Everyone! It’s been a while since our last: Post your Desktop Screenshot thread…Feel free to post your latest desktop here… try to keep the image under 480 pixels wide, or provide either a text link or a thumbnail image linking to a larger version. These two are the ones that I have been rotating between for the last week. The first one is a picture that I made, and the second is a photograph that forum member beeTee sent my way.Looking forward to seeing other member’s desktops.
siebkens Posted December 17, 2003 Posted December 17, 2003 My desktop almost always comes from the APOD. My current desktop is this! B)The set as wallpaper is one of my favorite & most-used features of Mozilla!
Guitar Man Posted December 17, 2003 Posted December 17, 2003 (edited) Siebkens ! What a great site ! I just added it to my Faves. It's odd that you should post this thread, as I just changed my background tonight...Now if I only knew how to upload what I have from my hard drive EDIT : Must it be a webpage URL as the source ?Regards, Phil Edited December 17, 2003 by Phil Larin
Ed_P Posted December 17, 2003 Posted December 17, 2003 The set as wallpaper is one of my favorite & most-used features of Mozilla!Pssssst Siebs, Netscape and IE have that capability also.
siebkens Posted December 17, 2003 Posted December 17, 2003 The set as wallpaper is one of my favorite & most-used features of Mozilla!Pssssst Siebs, Netscape and IE have that capability also. Got hooked on it with NS in '96, but then a couple of the NS releases lost that capability with just a right click. Very seldom use IE!
Arena2045 Posted December 17, 2003 Author Posted December 17, 2003 siebkens : Cool site!Phil Larin : Now if I only knew how to upload what I have from my hard drive EDIT : Must it be a webpage URL as the source ?After you take the screen shot of your desktop you do need to upload it to a server since we currently don’t offer image uploads.Do you have a server in which you can upload images to?ibe98765 : Oh yeah very creative… won’t you post your real desktop? Or are you hiding something???
GolfProRM Posted December 17, 2003 Posted December 17, 2003 Here's mine right now... Still tweaking with stuff to get completely comfortable... click on thumbnail to open full size
Arena2045 Posted December 17, 2003 Author Posted December 17, 2003 GolfProRM : cool desktop! I like Ryan's work over at DB; I often have his work as my desktop image.
Guitar Man Posted December 17, 2003 Posted December 17, 2003 Arena, re It's odd that you should post this thread, to SiebkensFirst, my apologies, as it was you who started this thread. Secondly, since I don't have a webpage, I could upload it to "My Yahoo Pictures", then to here. Sound plausible ?
Arena2045 Posted December 17, 2003 Author Posted December 17, 2003 Phil : I'm not sure if Yahoo will allow you to link your images on external pages; but you can always upload it to your Yahoo Pictures area, and then provide a link so that members can check it out.
Guitar Man Posted December 17, 2003 Posted December 17, 2003 Arena,Pardon my terminology. That's what I meant to say. I will work on it.
ibe98765 Posted December 17, 2003 Posted December 17, 2003 ibe98765 : Oh yeah very creative… won’t you post your real desktop? Or are you hiding something??? Yes...
SonicDragon Posted December 18, 2003 Posted December 18, 2003 Lol GolfPro! I love the reindeer!I love the stuff at DB! I almost always have my wallpaper set as an image from there. As for my desktop, default KDE with a DB background. Nothing special
Arena2045 Posted December 18, 2003 Author Posted December 18, 2003 Hey zlim,DB is short for Digital Blasphemy, a site of some very awesome images for every common desktop resolution, as well as other products featuring Ryan's (the owner) work. http://www.digitalblasphemy.com/
Guitar Man Posted December 18, 2003 Posted December 18, 2003 Ryan !Sincere congrats on your site. I've been to this site, maybe 2 years ago (?), but just found out now, that you are "the man" behind DB. Impressive. In my Faves list, and soon on my desktop....Some serious company we have at Scot's... ;)P.S. I've just dropped out of the competition....
littlebone Posted December 18, 2003 Posted December 18, 2003 It's autumn. I went for a walk with the digital camera. This one turned out nice enough to want it for a while as the desktop wallpaper. It's busy, but I don't keep much that I need to read on the desktop. I do everything from custom taskbars.

I wish I could take credit for it though!
Guest LilBambi Posted December 18, 2003 Posted December 18, 2003 Great desktops! Ryan love that forest pic with Santa and Rudolph "Ambin" style.
Guitar Man Posted December 18, 2003 Posted December 18, 2003 But...Ryan, you're NOT the Ryan Bliss at the bottom of the DB home page ????Confused...
Arena2045 Posted December 18, 2003 Author Posted December 18, 2003 Yeah sorry for the confusing Phil... I was debating wether or not to include the owner's name in the DB post.
Guitar Man Posted December 18, 2003 Posted December 18, 2003 Apologies accepted Arena ! Sheer coincidence, I guess. I simply put 2+2 together...

GolfProRM Posted December 19, 2003 Posted December 19, 2003 Gee, for a 20+ reply thread about posting desktop screenshots, only 3-4 screenshots are actually posted! :'(
Corrine Posted December 19, 2003 Posted December 19, 2003 Littlebone, your autumn picture is beautiful! Phil, you can create a free account at Village Photos, upload your image and post the URL link.
Arena2045 Posted December 19, 2003 Author Posted December 19, 2003 Gee, for a 20+ reply thread about posting desktop screenshots, only 3-4 screenshots are actually posted! Yeah Ryan… I’m sort of disappointed since the first thread was loaded with screenshots… not saying that those posted thus far aren’t bad, just was expecting more.
Ed_P Posted December 19, 2003 Posted December 19, 2003 Gee, for a 20+ reply thread about posting desktop screenshots, only 3-4 screenshots are actually posted!I was thinking that also. I think we're all a little embarassed about how untidy we are. But here is mine.
NRD Posted December 19, 2003 Posted December 19, 2003 I was thinking that also. I think we're all a little embarassed about how untidy we are. Against my better judgement, here is my Desktop as of this evening.***DISCLAIMER***No inferences should be drawn about the posters house keeping or mental stability based on above screen shot
