SonicDragon
Should the "report this post" feature be used to notify mods that a topic should be moved, or only to report inappropriate posts? Would a PM be a better choice?Just wondering.
teacher
My understanding is that "Report This Post" is if there is something that needs the immediate attention of the moderators (such as flaming). If you think a topic should be moved, the appropriate thing would be to send a PM to the moderators of that forum and request a topic be moved. Same thing if you need a title fixed or other details. If only one of the moderators is on-line then that would the be appropriate person to send the PM.
Arena2045
It is much easier to PM one of the Mods for that specific forum (or an Admin / Community Mod) that is currently active. When using the "Report this post" it sends a notice to all the mods assigned to the forum, as well as notifying all Admins. So please follow the advice that Julia gives... only use it if a post needs immediate attention. If there is abuse of this feature, it will be removed.
