telecomguy9 Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 I have a computer that has Office 2003 and in Word when you create a new file and fill up page 1 and want to hit Enter to begin on page 2 it doesn't do anything. The cursor remains blinking right there at the bottom of page 1. Very weird. I've never seen this before. Has anyone seen this and found a resolution to this problem? Quote
telecomguy9 Posted July 8, 2009 Author Posted July 8, 2009 I have more info. The cursor does move off of page 1 and goes to page 2, but Word remains on page 1 so you can't see page 2 and beyond. It doesn't matter what view I'm using (Normal, Web, Outline, etc.) either. No matter what I do it seems I can't go beyond page 1 or I can see anything beyond page 1. This happens with every single Word document whether it's one I created or one that's e-mail to me or was created by someone else. Very strange... Quote

Very strange...You could try clicking on Help/Detect and Repair in the menu bar and letting Office repair itself. I've done it once to repair Outlook 2003 and it worked for me. YMMV Quote

Has anyone seen this and found a resolution to this problem?Have you tried pressing Ctrl + Enter? It's how you force MS Word to start a new page regardless of where the cursor is placed. Also check the page margins as well as the spacing for the footer. It's possible that the bottom page margin has been set extremely low. Quote
telecomguy9 Posted July 10, 2009 Author Posted July 10, 2009 The problem was that the Word doc's affected were setup using multiple columns. You couldn't see them but that's what was happening. As soon as we opened one of these documents and told Word to use one column the problem was fixed. Is there a way to mark this topic as SOLVED? Quote
