One for Spiral Linux, one for VBox, one for Windows. Don't see the problem. You can always switch to full screen if you want to hide a couple of taskbars.

Thanks I was quite proud of that theme as it was one of my earliest tries at creating my own way back in 2017. Before that I had simply fiddled around with other folks themes. 😎

Bored with house wrecking and jungle clearing I took time out ot investigate theme building in Window Maker. Found a fab wallpaper to use and had a fiddle around. Still a work in progress as I am not so happy with the font or the font colour. At least I figured out some of the esoteric intricacies of theme building on Window Maker.

I am going to call this theme when finished SHARK , what can I say I have a way with words and an artistic flair. 😜

WM themes used to come with an information file detailing copyright, author etc about the theme.

An there you have a series of dark themes for Window Maker. Some of them from way back and some I made recently. As you can tell there are subtle differences which I find most interesting. Best of all you do not need to be a genius to make your own theme in Window Maker and thereby making your pc suit your personality.

Why not give it a try. 😎

Nice! Unfortunately, I haven't been able to do dark themes since I've gotten older. I find them hard on the eyes.

Well on all the dark themes it is really only the title bars and icon backgrounds and the pop up menu backgrounds that are dark. Not all of them though and the nearly all have white or a decent contrast colour for the text. As it is so easy to change themes in Window Maker I change them to suit my mood. 😎

I read an article on Meta's Galactica and made a Window maker theme based on it. Naturally I called the theme Galactica. 😜

Whilst looking through my collection of themes I realised that I did not indeed create the  BlackCat.theme.

The Black Cat theme is actually a Jess Anderson theme from the early 2000'S.

Maybe he collects browsers. I used to do that. Oh, wait... I still do. I have 4 on my system.... FF, Ungoogled Chromium, Seamonkey, and TOR browser. ;)

Wife likes Firefox, grandkids use Chrome. I have Chromium for fun and to test out the Eversync /Speed Dial system. I'd rather have shortcuts than search trough the menu for them and so would other users.

Yes, actually... but they're all in a combo launcher, so only FF (primary browser) shows in my panel. :)

First of all I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year. I don't post much because I don't play with distros anymore but I read some threads occasionally. Here is a picture on the desktop of my Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS.
If you draw an horizontal line right in the middle you'll see at the extreme left a gypsum cliff (white spot). We live about a thumb left of it. It's about a half hour walk to get to the beach. The length of the whole beach from Sugar Loaf (the pyramid shape mountain) to the little peninsula is about 10 miles long.

A new theme for Window Maker called Cat2.

The graphic is from a Guardian article ( Are cats really domesticated?) I came across today and the style is one called ArchStyle (with a few tweaks) I found on the net a long time ago.

Had trouble with the name of the picture and initially I could not get the theme to load. Original file name was " cat-EliaBarbieri.jpg" I had to change it to "cat_EliaBarbieri.jpg" to get it to work.

Skynet theme a quick and dirty hack of a Window Maker theme called Blackbird. I simply replaced the blackbird image with the image of SPOT. It was the bright yellow that caught my eye.

Inspiration came from this article,

Robot Police Dogs Are on Patrol, But Who’s Holding the Leash?

Quote

Boston Dynamics says there were more than 1,000 of its Spot robots operating in 35 countries in 2022

Quote

Axon Enterprise, the Arizona-based technology and weapons manufacturer formerly known as Taser International, is reportedly researching proposals to develop a robot equipped with its well-known electroshock weapon.

Quote

researchers are concerned that global events — such as the Russian invasion of Ukraine, where both sides are modifying drones to deliver bombs

Quote

“We know from history that whenever governments deploy some kind of weapon or surveillance system in warfare,” Guariglia said, “that it’s only really a matter of time before those things travel back home.”

First we had the movie now we are approaching the reality. 😱

A new Arch Window Maker theme I cobbled together from an existing theme and a screenshot from I don't know where with my first attempt at using Gimp. I call this one " Alright " 🤣

Yeah... I have a boring hum-drum desktop. It hasn't change much since my Ubuntu/Gnome daze back in '06. I'm not much on change/variety, it seems. ;)

My original Ubuntu/Gnome desktop from back then...
