Grasshopper
In my quest to integrate my new Mandrake machine into my life, networking is essential. <duh>My current home network is a mixed OS (WinXP home, Win98SE and Mandrake 9.1), mixed topo (wired and wireless), and mixed protocol network (TCP/IP for internet and NetBEUI for LAN). Is there a way to use NetBEUI in Mandrake?
Bruno
Hi TbirdYes there is a way to use NetBEUI in Mandrake, but I´ll let others do the talking here: Samba - NetBEUI, NetBios, CIFS SupportSamba is an implementation of the Session Management Block protocol (SMB). It allows Windows and other systems to mount and use your disks and printers.Samba and its configuration are covered in detail in the SMB-HOWTO Hope this info will get you on the right track. ( Samba is on your installation CD´s, you can install it with the ¨software Manager¨ in the Mandrake Control Center ) Bruno
