What about Script Defence in Avast! Free Edition?

Hi!!! I pasted the text from my mail to another user:For avast!, be aware that in newer free versions is removed the script shield(check it at http://www.avast.com/eng/av4_version_comp.html ). So if you like avast! you can add a script defence to your system. At past I used ScripTrap http://keir.net/ and AnalogX Script Defender http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/system/sdefend.htm but I never tried them at XP). Reviews and user opinions at http://www.snapfiles.com/get/sdefender.html and http://www.snapfiles.com/get/scriptrap.html .I never tried AnalogX's tool at XP, although I used to runit at past (Win98SE era), and it was great. I run Script Sentry on my 98SE computerhttp://www.jasons-toolbox.com/programs.asp...Script%20SentryI don't run XP so I don't know how well it will work on that.

I don't think any scripts can run on my computer. I am running WinXP Pro, and use AnalogX Script Defender. I also removed the .vbs file association a couple years ago.I didn't have the Windows Scripting Host installed on Win98SE after awhile, but before that I used AnalogX Script Defender to protect it.How to Disable Windows Scripting Host on various Windows Versions.http://www.sophos.com/support/knowledgebase/article/359.html

I'am running XP home & Script Sentry as well.A,GREAT suggestion from Langalist .I also have KErio for a firewall(I use to run Zonealarm) but that 's a another story in itself! In anyevent I haven't any trouble & ALL! With the programs such as Avast or Script Sentry.IMHO,I have to say that,BOTH programs are nothing,but short of being great. Then again,both programs are,FREE! Enjoy & happy surfing.
