  1. It's been a long time in the making and now finally released. Based on Debian Testing with Xfce and oodles of great programs for producing audio and video including the excellent KX Studio repositories and core apps such as Cadence and Catia.   4. Debian Wheezy will be released with a small change. The default desktop environment will be Xfce instead of the long time Gnome choice. All you Gnome 3.x bashers relax a minute. It may be more a choice brought on by Debian's insistence on sticking with a single CD iso. It seems Gnome has gotten to big to fit on the first installation CD. Of course, speculation remains that there were other more subjective reasons for ditching Gnome as the default DE.   5. In yet another of what I'm sure are simple questions: I am using XFCE4 (4.10) as my desktop environment in Arch. When I click on the "Web Browser" shortcut in the dock, it asks, every time, what application to use. I want it to use google-chrome. I select it. On startup, Chrome says "Chrome isn't your default browser, would you like it to be" (or whatever the message is), I say yes, make default. On subsequent relaunches, I go through the same thing. The setting never sticks. Setting it through Settings -> Preferred Applications doesn't matter either. What am I doing wrong? Is it a perm
