As I write, Arch is asking me to accept an upgrade for pacman, and I can locate no news item to the effect that this is any different from a standard upgrade.  So I should proceed normally, I expect.

What about this?

This is a normal pacman update, nothing to worry about.

I did it today and no ill effects.

Do it.

Great!

Thanks, Guys.

Edit:  I believe the instructions linked above apply to glib 2.16-2, which is not quite ready for Prime Time.

Vagabond, when in doubt, always check the Arch Updates in Bruno's Classroom here at BATL. Josh keeps that thread up-to-date every day. :)

And if you are EVER fearful of an upgrade.  Clone that partition before upgrading!!!!!!  ;) I clone before each major Kernel upgrade, xorg upgrade, and especially video driver upgrades.  Might seem a bit much but I have been bit before and the re-imaging put me back to where I was real quick.  ;)

Also, no issue on my end with the update.

Fine upgrade here on 64 bit and the Raspberry Pi.  :shifty:
Install ARCH
You'll never need to install it again
