As I write, Arch is asking me to accept an upgrade for pacman, and I can locate no news item to the effect that this is any different from a standard upgrade. So I should proceed normally, I expect.
What about this?

This is a normal pacman update, nothing to worry about.

"Do you begin to see, then, what kind of world we are creating? It is the exact opposite of the stupid hedonistic Utopias that the old reformers imagined. A world of fear and treachery and torment, a world of trampling and being trampled upon, a world which will grow not less but more merciless as it refines itself. Progress in our world will be progress toward more pain." -George Orwell, 1984

I did it today and no ill effects.
Do it.
Do it.

Great!
Thanks, Guys.
Edit: I believe the instructions linked above apply to glib 2.16-2, which is not quite ready for Prime Time.

Vagabond, when in doubt, always check the Arch Updates in Bruno's Classroom here at BATL. Josh keeps that thread up-to-date every day.

And if you are EVER fearful of an upgrade. Clone that partition before upgrading!!!!!!
I clone before each major Kernel upgrade, xorg upgrade, and especially video driver upgrades. Might seem a bit much but I have been bit before and the re-imaging put me back to where I was real quick.
Also, no issue on my end with the update.
