I sold my Atrix 4G for $230 on swappa.com and bought me a new (in the box) LG Nitro HD for $275 from ebay.  The Nitro HD is a very powerful smartphone that is quite the jump from my old Atrix 4G. It has a dual core Qualcomm Scorpion processor clocked at 1.5ghz, 1gb of ram, an IPS display that has a resolution of 1280x720 (720p) and is a whopping 4.5" in size. The Nitro HD is an amazing device to say the least and I only paid an additional $40 to get it. Here are some of the specs:
  • LG Nitro HD P930
  • Dimensions: 5.27 x 2.67 x 0.41" (134 x 68 x 10 mm) @ 128 grams
  • Dual Core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Scorpian APQ8060 processor / Adreno 220 GPU
  • 1024MB LPDDR2 SDRAM
  • 4096MB Flash EEPROM
  • 32768MB (32gb Class 10) MicroSDHC
  • 4.5-inch TrueHD AH-IPS LCD capacitive Touch Screen @ 326 ppi
  • Colors & Resolution: 16,777,216 @ 1280 x 720 / 720p
  • Audio: Dolby SRS Surround Sound, 3.5mm Ear Jack & Speaker and active noise cancellation
  • Network: LTE, HSDPA+ (4G) 21.1 Mbit/s, HSDPA 14.4 Mbit/s, HSUPA 5.76 Mbit/s, UMTS, EDGE
  • Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP, Internal antenna, HS
  • USB 2.0 client, Hi-Speed (480Mbit/s) USB Series Micro-B (Micro-USB) connector
  • HDMI via microUSB DLNA, MHL, Tethering, Computer sync, OTA sync
  • Wifi 802.11 b/g/n Internal antenna, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot
  • GPS
  • 8 megapixels LED Flash Camera @ 3264x2448 / Camcorder 1920x1080 (1080p HD) (29 fps)
  • 1.3 megapixels Front Facing Camera @ 1280 x1024 pixels
  • 1835 mAh Standard Battery
  • Google Android 4.0.4 ICS
  • ROM: Cyanogenmod 9 (HO!NO! CM9 "Full Throttle")
Here is a stock picture just to show you how big the phone actually is (my camera's batteries died)

I just finished rooting the device and installing a custom rom. I ended up having to run the SuperOneClick Root Tool like four times to get it to finally work (this is a known issue and I knew this beforehand) but now I am completely rooted running a Cyanogenmod 9 variant:

Very cool! Has more features than your Nexus 7! But then it retails for more than the Nexus 7 too. ;)

Not really:

Nitro: Dual core Scorpion @ 1.5ghz  with a single core Adreno 220
Nexus 7: Quad core Tegra 3  @ 1.3ghz with a 12 core Nvidia GPU

Nitro: 326ppi
Nexus: 216ppi

Nexus 7  1280x800
Nitro 1280x720

Nexus 7 battery: 4325 mAh
Nitro battery: 1835 mAh

Nexus 7: 8gb storage (unlimited with usb drive and otg cable)
Nitro: 4gb storage with sdcard slot (32gb max)

Nexus 7:  1024mb ram
Nitro: 1024mb ram

Nexus 7: 802.11 b/g/n Wifi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, accelerometer, GPS, magnetometer, and a gyroscope.
Nitro: 802.11 b/g/n Wifi, Bluetooth 3.0, Accelerometer, GPS, Gyroscope and Proximity

So all in all the Nexus is much more powerful but the Nitro has a better screen and an sd card slot. Both are running Jelly Bean but the Nexus is an official JB device.

Well I was mainly meaning the ppi and missing SD card on the Nexus 7, but yeah, it does balance. ;)

And the Nitro doesn't have the room for the extra battery that the Nexus 7 has but you know what I mean.

Regardless both great devices.
