k.
seeing's how this is the "restaurant at the edge of the universe"
why not have a restaurant thread?

been to a good restaurant lately? if so, let us know!

peck's
a local eatery that serves up fresh local dishes, fried fish, and sandwiches.
an example of their great food, po boys. made of fresh, crusty french bread fully dressed (lettuce, tomato, mayo...)
with (for example) fried oysters. um um good!
the place is always packed, with many folks picking up to-go orders.
the inside is decorated with wonderful murals and paintings of local wildlife and fish.

ok, your turn!

In Hampton, we have a great little place called County Grill & Smokehouse. Some of the best pulled pork around. Yum!

Pierce's Pitt Bar-B-Que has some of the best tomato based BBQ bar none!

You can even buy his Barbeque Sauce for at home and DIY.

"Doc" Pierce's Barbecue Sauce

It's an oft-told story. After all, anything that makes food taste this good isn't easily forgotten. In 1971, "Doc" Pierce set out from Flat Creek,Tennessee with his most prized possession – his family's bar-b-que sauce recipe. After settling in Williamsburg, it wasn't long before he and the family opened Pierce's Pitt. The rest, as they say, is history. And now, the recipe lives on...the tradition lives on...the taste...well, now you can have the taste in your own home with "Doc" Pierce's Original Bar-B-Que Sauce. It not only makes a great story, it makes great bar-b-que.

Casa De Pizza - my local pizza and pasta purveyors. Genuine Italian staff and excellent food which I indulge at least once a week.
I have to chuckle to myself when my housemate orders Dominos. :'(
