To get sound on me Pi, can I connect  a cable from one of the sockets at "7 above" on me monitor to the socket on the PI ?

Besides the VGA and DVI (with HDCP support) connectors the 2407WFP also features S-Video, Composite and Component connectors and two USB 2.0 ports. Besides for your PC you can also use this display for your PS3, Xbox 360 or other consoles. On the left of the display you can find two additional USB 2.0 ports and a 9-in-2 media card reader.

If I get a HDIM to DIV conector will I get sound out of the monitor as it has "DVI (with HDCP support)" ? Will I need to get a special type of connector ?

Do not even ask me who has been mistaking micro usb with mini usb :breakfast:

Ok another Q. Will I get output to screen if I use socket " 5 above" from the Pi to me monitor ? I found a cable so if that works it would be great. :breakfast:

Those inputs are usually exclusive ie. if you use one the others are disabled. AFAIK only HDMI carries sound, not DVI. To use the component video you'd need a fairly expensive and inefficient converter. So I doubt you can get sound from your Pi to that monitor. Probably best to use the audio out and separate speakers.

from your typing I think you need a LOT more coffee :)
Anyway,
DVI will not carry sound over. If the OS running on the device supports dual monitors than you can run out via any 2 of the 3,4,5,6,7 . Depends on what type of inputs your monitor takes. Hook up speakers if you can find the audio out plug.
