crp,

Are you saying that you don't have a smartphone or tablet? If so, why not?

What limitations are the biggest problem for you?

screen size and typing and price. On a recent trip I tried out my sisters new iPad - I was far from impressed with the form factor. When I got back I went to a couple of computer stores to check out the Android tablets and basically the same problems.
I need something I can do content creation and work with. For content consumption, my Coby 7" MP3 player (with hdmi - i've mentioned this product in other posts) is just fine thank you - and at less than a third of the price.

likewise, crp - i could have an ipad at work but the content creation issue keeps me from wanting it at all.

i have a toshiba portege, which is thin and only has a 13" screen.
it is an absolutely ideal portable device

Do you feel the same way about Microsoft Surface?

I have not touched it so i have no idea. i doubt i would like the ARM version , but the regular version seems promising, except for the price which I expect to be in the ultrabook range.
