We now have a new top navigation link right under the header at the top of each page; it is called Portal.

On the Portal link, you will find several items.

On the Left: Recently Added Posts

On the left side page, you will see that we have, through a third party app/hook, brought back the show recent posts/replies, they call it Recently Added Posts.
I really missed this one.  It is not identical to the one in the old version of the forusm, but it's the closest I have found.

On the Right: Latest Discussions - Site Navigation - Online Users

All three down the right side of the portal page.

Hope you enjoy the portal page as much as I do!

Nice to have the Recently Added Posts back most of all though!

Enjoy!

I had noticed the View new Content button on the right but did not notice the Portal link, very neat stuff!!!!

BTW I keep losing my replies as I am used to being able to hit tab and enter to post the reply and now it opens up the top search function instead. Odd as you would think that the tab key would go to the next radio button instead of going to the top input field (search function).

Maybe it's behavior is to default to the first button on the page, not the next from where you are. Weird, but with a kind of logic behind it.

Tweak it 'til it breaks, then learn how to fix it.

Maybe so, I just keep messing up my replies out of habit. I am a bit of a "keyboard cowboy" so I am used to using my keyboard more so than the mouse but whatever.... B)

Yah, it's tough to break old habits and build new ones.

Tweak it 'til it breaks, then learn how to fix it.

So true, amenditman!

Sometimes the changes are downright annoying ... but then enhanced security and a lot of new features (lots of those, including being able to choose an alternate theme where we can choose our own colors), plus get back some controls we had lost for a time because of security issues in the old version (such as not being able upload avatars for instance).

Hopefully these will make up for the annoyances in the long run. :teehee:

They will. It is just new. We just have to get used to some slightly different behaviors. ;)

Heh! That would make a great avatar for you. ;)

You should even use "CLI Phreak" as your custom title, too. ;)

I like the idea of using that as my custom title      hmmm wonder if I can do that or Fran needs to do it for me?
