Penguin pc mod

Hot on the heels of news that Google uses toilet water to cool one of its data centers, it has emerged that an enterprising hardware hacker had the same idea some seven years ago. As you will see in the following pictures, though, Jeff Gagnonís computer is much more than a toilet-cooled rig ó itís a case mod tour de force.

"Do you begin to see, then, what kind of world we are creating? It is the exact opposite of the stupid hedonistic Utopias that the old reformers imagined. A world of fear and treachery and torment, a world of trampling and being trampled upon, a world which will grow not less but more merciless as it refines itself. Progress in our world will be progress toward more pain." -George Orwell, 1984

Been done. http://www.bbspot.com/News/2008/12/linux-on-a-potato.html

I just amused myself for several hours trying to get a mate's old Optiplex working. Wouldn't boot XP, wouldn't boot PMagic CD, just gave a boot menu then froze. Swapped memory and fixed the dodgy solder joint on the HSF. No joy so we gave up.
One way to amuse oneself on Easter Sunday.  rolleyes.gif  biggrin.gif
