So yes, there will be a Linux version and you can confirm a DRM free copy for yourself for $15. The game won't be a first person shooter. With a top down perspective you will get a tactical feel for the situation. It will be turn based, tactical, with a storyline that will be deeper and broader.
They both sound like pretty good games and well worth a looksee

So what exactly do you do in a Linux Distro Building game?
So glad you asked! Here’s some examples of the thrilling challenges you’ll find in Linux Tycoon:
I know lots of you folks have the odd spot of trouble with your os's so I trawled the net to find you all a way of relaxing in a fun and familiar way

And he's done a good job of it.

I'd be most interested to hear about your experiences so that I can build up a list of distros that work. My e-mail address is on my home page.
I know you are all busy folk but you may just have a few moments spare to have a look at these free offerings. They look pretty cool to me.

Yesterday, I ran across a game called Mari0 that is a cross between the NES Super Mario Bros and Portal. http://stabyourself.net/mari0/

It is available in the normal Archlinux repos so it should be available in other distro's repos as well. The game is also available for Windows and Macs and it is only weighs in at 3.5mb.

I'll be checking out Mari0 too.
Update; Mari0 is not in Debian repo, so I downloaded the standalone binary. Amused to have to do this according to the readme:
root@brain:/home/roger# apt-get install love
Update 2: Need to run from the directory the binary is in
roger@brain:~/bin/mari0-linux$ love mari0_1.6.loveLooks good, need to play more later.

Later: Well I fed the old lady pig food, smashed all the water barrels, insulted the girl and killed all the pigs. Now I'm lost.

Odd as it works beautifully here even with 4 monitors. The reason I mention the monitors is because most games try to stretch between the monitorsl but mari0 started windowed and allowed me to go fullscreen on my main monitor.

Maybe this will give an incentive to make more top titles for Linux.
