WOW Temmu, I love that! That is worth stealing.    May I have that in a non-wide screen version? I see from the info that it is Fiji. Only stopped there on the flight between Aukland and Honolulu. It wasn't sunset.Bruno, I think Eric has to behave while he is in training BUT once he has his own spot, he can show his coworkers what a stable OS looks like.found a fiji wallpaper source http://www.travelblo...coast_fiji.html

Eric . . . just put a nice little Live CD in your pocket . .  . and every time when there is a dull moment you flip in the CD and show the punters what a real OS looks like :DB) Bruno
I wonder if I could grab a 4G Flash drive and run Slackware from it on my system at work? That'll show 'em!

I found the "Slacker" image using Google Image search, then modified it somewhat with GIMP to add Tux in the middle. Feel free to grab it off my Photobucket site:http://img.photobuck...ous/slacker.jpg

I like to feel at home. This one taken less than 10 km from here. You could almost see where I live, less than 10 km left of xmahjongg, about a km from the beach!Posted Image

How do you get larger copies of these ~300x400 graphics? I saw a couple of nice ones I liked. I noticed a bunch were in 'name.jpg' format.

Hi ClutterIf, for example, on this page: http://linfx.com/cop...p...&fullsize=1 you click on the ( Gnome ) wallpaper it opens a tab ( could be a pop-up too cause my browser opens popups in tabs ) with the  1280 x 1024 pixels .png image.Does that work for you ??<_< Bruno

Temmu, that's the one I currently have. I also cheat - I use webshots v1 and a freebie program that can convert from webshots format to jpg, then an older version of Irfan to convert from jpg to bmp so I can put any webshots photo where I want. (Disclaimer: I was a paid member of webshots for two years and also bought a CD, the best of webshots)> Now that I have enough wallpapers to last through more than my lifetime, I see no reason to continue as a paying webshots customer).

I'd love to post one or two if I could find a place to host them without the spyware. I think I've got one on piczo, but they were causing problems with the board.   EDIT: Here's my desktop at work.  The drafting program is on the left.  The graphical file system is on the right.  The highlighted box is the model that's open.  Notice the CDE toolbar and icon box.  This is a two monitor setup  The split between the monitors is on the left of the drafting toolbar.

And of course, there is my home pc Debian desktop.  I like this picture of Mt. St. Helens, so it's been my background for a long time.

Thanks, Bruno-It took me a while to remember to navigate back to this thread. You did help to point out to me that the image is clickable to load the larger image. And that seems to work under javascript whether or not I have that site enabled under NoScript in Firefox. Interesting. So yes, now I can get the full size image. :) And yes, I right click and get a menu and then I select "Set as Desktop Background".I just loaded this imageas my desktop on my Ubuntu Feisty machine.
