Hi, my computer has just been upgraded to  Windows XP professional and I use Outlook Express.  The attachments, when clicking on the paper clip, are grey/ shaded and won't open.   Please help.

It could be as simple as "that's the way your security setting are configured".IN OE go to:Tools - Options - SecurityIf there's a checkmark next to "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus", most attachments will be locked.If you trust the sender, temporarily uncheck this option, click "OK" and re-open the message. For safety's sake, restore the setting after viewing the attachment.
