Bruno
Here are the 2 most frquently used tweaks for your mandriva 2006 install . . . . Just posting them here so i can link to them 1). Remove the word "MENU" from the "start" button:Open ".kde/share/config/kickerrc" with your favorite text editor and add kmenutext=false in the Kmenu section so it looks like this: [KMenu]UseSidePixmap=truekmenutext=false 2). Get the mdkkdm login manager:Open "/etc/kde/kdm/kdmrc" as root with your favorite text editor and change "UseTheme=true" to "UseTheme=false"That will change the login manager to kdm . . . now if you want mdkkdm ( the "old-style" login manager ) additionally do this: Add the contrib source and download / install "mdkkdm" That is all . . . . there are additional tweaks here too:smaller fonts: http://forums.scotsnewsletter.com/index.php?showtopic=11824dkms & nvidia: http://forums.scotsnewsletter.com/index.php?showtopic=11791 Bruno

teacher
Does the same file have a tweak to remove the lock screen button? I will have to look now that I know the file. I have the lock screen button. It is too close to the shutdown button.
