I've set the history within konqueror not to save any url's and deleted the history'settings','Configure Konqueror','History Sidebar' and unchecked the 'url's expire after'. This seems to delete all history in the location bar, however when I close Konqueror and then open it again, all the web address history is still thereAnyway to keep the history from being recorded?Bruno(2)

Unchecking the "URLs expire after x days" wouldn't stop new URLs from being recorded. In fact, it would prevent any URLs that you visited from disappearing from history up to the maximum. Did you click on the "Clear History" button? That should've removed history (from both the location bar and the sidebar.I just tried it now (clearing history and exiting) to make sure the URLs disappeared and they did on my system. :">

Found out where the history is stored. You might want to check the permissions on this file to make sure it's actually being "emptied". On my system it looks like this:
jason@starbuck:~/.kde/share/apps/konqsidebartng/entries> ls -ltotal 56-rw-r--r--  1 jason users 7031 2005-02-20 21:15 bookmarks.desktop-rw-r--r--  1 jason users 5337 2005-02-20 21:15 devices.desktop-rw-r--r--  1 jason users 9582 2005-02-20 21:15 history.desktop-rw-r--r--  1 jason users 6370 2005-02-20 21:15 home.desktop-rw-r--r--  1 jason users  582 2005-02-20 21:15 news.desktop-rw-r--r--  1 jason users 1486 2005-02-20 21:15 remote.desktop-rw-r--r--  1 jason users 5272 2005-02-20 21:15 root.desktop-rw-r--r--  1 jason users 1530 2005-02-20 21:15 services.desktop
See the history.desktop file? That's it. You should be able to read and write to it. If it's not the permissions, there's a neat workaround I just discovered. But I don't know if it will affect the function of anything else. If you rename the history.desktop file to history.desktop.bak, Konqueror doesn't seem to re-create it. It "disappears" from the sidebar entirely. :">
