ebrke
Now I feel old. 1980 was not that long ago Well, nearly 35 years. I still remember a corporate VP in the early 1980s declaring emphatically that PCs were "never going to amount to anything" and were a "flash in the pan". He did think stand-alone word processors were useful though.
V.T. Eric Layton
1980. Hmm... I was 19 years old, full of whiz and vinegar. I was ready to take on the world! I got my AS in Computer Science in September. I was riding a Honda 400 like this one... I was driving my Heavy Chevy... I was smokin', drinkin', havin' a good ol' time! I knew it all. I was a bad-ascii. I was also pretty stupid. It comes with the territory at 19, I think. Ahh... those were the daze.
raymac46
1980 - I was a manager of a food flavor application laboratory for a flavor company, We communicated with the head office by Telex or maybe phone if critical. No computers yet in the office although a mini Rexon was in the works for accounting. It had to have its own office. Microcomputers were out there but it would be another 2 years before I got my VIC-20.
Capt.Crow
1980. I bought a little field and stuck the spade in the ground to dig the first of the foundations . I'm still working on the house. 34years later . I think that's what keeps me alive and fit.
ebrke
I just had a chance to watch the Kids React 1980 video. I cracked up right at the beginning when the little boy in the green t-shirt said dubiously "well it looks very sturdy".
