I have Nero 5.10 installed  on my desktop but the serial number that I have in my data base is incorrect and I cannot install it into a new hard drive. Is there a way I can find the correct serial number from the current installaton?  Regedit or something similar?

 Should be in the registry somewhere.  Did it (Nero) come with your burner? If it did you might not be able to install that version of Nero on another computer with a different burner.  One of my burners came with a version like that but the version that came with one of the other burners works on all burners.  That's software for you!Joy

Aida32 will tell you Nero's Product Key and the Product Key for any other Licenced software you have installed on your computer. It can be found under the Software and Licenses section. You can get Aida32 here:http://www.aida32.hu

That sounds neat. I can't figure out which version is best to download. Did you use the Enterprise or Personal version?

Thanks for the quick reply.  I did not know if the first one was for networks, multiple computers or what.  I downloaded both but have not installed either yet.

teacher --You are very welcome! Yeah, when I read what comes with them all, and that there are no other requirements specifically. I just went with the one that gave me the most information about a system.greengeek --You may be right in some cases, but it did work fine here.Different burner entirely, but as long as I used the correct product key for the Nero disk I had, it worked great. So it is certainly worth a try
