Any way to improve my laptop image quality?

I got an Asus N56DP Windows 8.1 with screen resolution of 1920 X 1080. definetly a great screen but I expect a little more from in. Not a retina display but the fonts are still a little too jagged for my taste. Is there any driver or software that would help with that? Something that would blur the screen just a bit...

Thanks

There seem to be fairly widespread complaints about this issue with people who have moved to Win 8.1. Here's one suggestion from the Mozilla Support Forums:

. . . right click on your desktop and choose Screen Resolution, then click 'Make text and other items larger or smaller', then check the box alongside 'Let me choose one scaling level for all my displays' . . .

Hi Marcos...

I believe that Windows 8 still works with ClearType. Have you tried it yet?

I always got good results from this in the old days when I still ran Windows as my primary OS.

Umm... duh! I see that Elizabeth has already suggested this to you. Oh well, let us know what happened. :)

Yes, ClearType is often a great choice in Windows. I always set that up.

Great WikiHow Windows 8 ClearType link!

And a great one for Windows 7 users too from Microsoft.

Hope the WikiHow one will work well for Marcos and fix his problem.
