brucekrymow
Is there a means by which one can accomplish a feature of other browsers, to wit: right-click > 'Save target as...' in Firebird?
Prelude76
yeah, its called "Save Link to Disk..."dont as why they renamed it from TARGET to LINK, but works the same way
brucekrymow
Hi, Lude ~Don't have 'Save Link to Disk...' in the context menu of 0.6.1 'bird. Would 'Save link as...' be the same thing?Edit: Tried the 'Save link as...', but it does not see the filename or download correctly. Am I looking in the wrong place? Prelude76
when i right click on a link, the context menu has, among other things, this:BOOKMARK THIS LINK...SAVE LINK TO DISK...SEND LINK...COPY LINK LOCATIONif i choose Save Link to DIsk for a ZIP or EXE file, it offers to download and i choose location to save it.if i choose Save link to Disk on a NORMAL link, it offers to download and save the .HTML, .ASP or whatever type of filei'm not running 0.6.1 - i have a very recent Aug 27th Build (20070827) and works fine for me. also, can anyone confirm naming of the option? i'm running a special build, aebrahim 2003-08-27 optimised for P4/P4/Athlon. i wonder if they change the wording in this build?p.s. - any build from aug 26, 27 and 28th seems to be very stable and quick. might wanna check it out. brucekrymow
Hi, Lude ~On both 0.6 and 0.6.1, the context menu appears as such:As you can see, 'SAVE LINK TO DISK..' & 'SEND LINK...' are missing. Are other Firebird users showing or missing these context menu options? Is there an extension required to enable these?
Prelude76
yeah, let's hear some FEEDBACK from fellow firebird users. speak up. for what its worth, i'm running NO extensions, and the aug 27th optimized build as mentioned before. everyone, please state which version (date build) you're using and what your context menu shows. GolfProRM
Okay...this is something that has been added since the 0.6.1 milestone... I've got both 0.6.1 and the Aug 17 build on my machine, and the later build has it...
Guest ThunderRiver
I have been using Firebird for quite sometime, but I can only bookmark a page inside the Firebird. Unlike IE, it doesn't let you make a shortcut on the hard drive... what a down side.

Mmkkay I will try that, but the problem is that I love to go for full screen, so in order to create a desktop shortcut, I would have to resize the window and drag and drop? hehe. not very user friendly is it?I do like your expression "no problemo".. that really reminds me of Terminator II. SonicDragon
I do like your expression "no problemo"..I always found that one very interesting. Most people think it's spanish for no problem, but that would be no problema, if i can remember spanish class, but i may be wrong.
