brucekrymow
In IE you are able to simply go to the TIF and copy any file in the cache there to the HD in another location. In F-Bird, I went to the cache, but all the files there are some non-extension arcane compressed file. How does one find and then fetch a file from the F-bird cache in a similar matter to IE's TIF? GolfProRM
Good question... unless anyone posts the answer tomorrow (I personally don't know), I'll post the question in the MozillaZine forums
Mike Healan
Assuming you are using Windows...If you know the page that has the file you want, save the page to your desktop. Windows will put an html file and a folder with all the files needed to load the page. Fish it out of there.
brucekrymow
Hi, Mike ~That does not work. That will only save portions of the file, but it does not save files that are normally cached to the TIF as in IE such as '.js', '.swf', '.css', '.cab', '.class' and other files. Mike Healan
Ahhhh..... Try this. Clear your cache and then go back to the page that has the file(s) you want. Then type about:cache?device=disk and try to download them that way.If that doesn't work and you really want the file(s), open the source and find the address(es).
