sunrat
I've been having an issue with Gtk submenus showing as white with light grey text in my dark coloured KDE. Finally found a really simple solution - remove Adwaita theme folder from /usr/share themes. I don't know why an unused theme would cause that, but it worked! sunrat
The screenshot is before I fixed it. Now the drop-down menus and submenus are all dark with light text. It was suggested I file a bug against the package, but I don't know what package. Somehow /etc/gtk-2.0/gtkrc didn't get written properly when I set the dark theme colour.
