raymac46
If you install the 64 bit edition of Manjaro 15.12 (Capella) you'll be faced with 354 updates at the end of the install. Problem is - after the updates are all downloaded, pacman won't update because there is a missing key in the keyring. If you try: pacman-key --refresh-keys That doesn't work either (no dirmngr.) So to fix this annoying problem issue this command as root: dirmngr </dev/null That gets dirmngr functioning, you can then refresh the keys and try the install again. I believe this bug has been fixed in Manjaro 16 so maybe it'd be best to just download a new ISO.
securitybreach
Why not simply add the key? It's very easy to do so pacman-key -r keyid https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pacman/Package_signing#Managing_the_keyring The same should work on Manjaro as well since it uses pacman
raymac46
I think you might run into the same problem with no dirmngr, but OK worth a try. If I run into the same issue again I'll try to add the key directly, although it should be available on the keyserver - it's for an official package. https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=190380 Edited April 6, 2016 by raymac46
