Issues with Word 2004

Hi all,I have a user who is having many Office 2004 issues. At first it was saying all the fonts were corrupt and had to be removed. So I trashed the FontCachetool and I was able to open up Excel and Entourage no problem. Now, I cannot open Word. It keeps crashing and/or saying there is not enough disk space or memory to open up a document (even a small one at 24KB) and there is plenty of HDD space. I have tried trashing the plist files for Office and I cannot think of anything else to try. BTW she is using Tiger.Any help would be appreciated thank you.

HI Zubatron,Have you recently used Disk Utility to fix permissions? Sometimes that can help with issues. It's in the Utilities folder under Applications. I keep a ready link to it in my Dock. Also, here are some things that might help (note: the first one is about Leopard but the problem may be related?):Microsoft Office 2004 broken: dead as a parrot - seems that QT7.2 and Java prebindings were at fault and he has a solution for Leopard. Not sure whether they would help in Tiger.Word 2004 Crashing a Lot in Tiger - no real solution but some great links for diagnostics are there from hayne:

You should try the standard troubleshooting suggestions:http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?sto...004011205473937http://forums.osxfaq.com/viewtopic.php?t=7269http://www.thexlab.com/faqs/faqs.htmlIn particular, be sure to try logging in as a different user to see if the problem exists there. (Create a new user via the Accounts preference panel if you only have the one user account so far.)
NOTE: I made the links clickable. They weren't in the original post.Hope some of that helps. I don't use Office 2004 on my Mac.What Mac is it and how much RAM does it have? There are many utilities to clean areas automatically on the Mac, MainMenu, TinkerTool. These can automate some of the things that might help clear up the problem. Maybe.
