Reynaldo
There are no words to describe the amazing job done by the team behind ArkOS. ArkOS is a distribution based on arch linux arm, it works for raspberry pi and some more ARM devices. The setup is click, click and click. The speed of the website is amazing... i tried to do the same months ago with my raspberry pi, it took like 40 seconds to load a single webpage.. i can host mumble server, mariadb with mysql, ssh, transmission (ye i know, i love rtorrent, they will be adding it soon i think), owncloud server, ghost blog, wordpress blog, etc..this is just epic. Tomorrow i'll be finishing my post on my blog with every detail..a whole new world of ideas is available now for my new raspberry pi b+.. Edit: I was thinking on making a really nice review, so it will take me atleast a week so i can take my time to edit and add proper photos to the post. https://arkos.io/ official website Edited July 30, 2014 by Reynaldo

V.T. Eric Layton
Hmm... the name they chose is extremely similar to an old main branch Linux called Ark Linux. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/33/Linux_Distro_Timeline.png http://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=ark Unfortunately, it seems as though Ark is not being actively supported anymore these days. That's sad. Their website ( arklinux.org) is gone. I used to run Ark many years ago as a tester OS on my main system. I reviewed it here: http://noctslackv1.wordpress.com/2012/02/01/todays-featured-distribution-ark-linux-revisited/ Anyway...

abarbarian
Great news Reynaldo, keep them write ups coming. I have been watching the ArkOS development for some time and downloaded the os a few weeks ago. The project is of great interest to me as you are able to run GHOST blogging from it and retain complete control of your blog. So a decent write up on how to set up ArkOS and Ghost would be a fantastic way to go. http://forums.scotsnewsletter.com/index.php?showtopic=69692&hl= If you could incorporate a how to use HashOver in the Ghost + ArkOS write up that would be most wonderful. A totally open source self hosted blog with comments that you have complete control over costing peanuts to set up and run per year, now that is what open source is all about. Looking forward to the write up
Reynaldo
i'll check it out and write it up. I myself, would like to host my own blog with ghost , i'll read up on the HashOver
