the "take me on" video is one of my fav's - someone finding escape into another world of their dreams.
Of course the one above was not the original music. Just a humorous lyrical satire of the video. The original won six MTV awards in 1986. Original version:

The original from 1966. Worth a watch for the comment from the presenter.

Same band same song performed in 2009 at Maxwells, Hoboken, New Jersey.

The Pretty Things played at the Corner Hotel where I work earlier this year and they were great. A band of 60 something kids still rocking out. Nice bunch of blokes too. B)

Just an old Christmas song but it moved me. I'm a sucker for voices of angels.

I just saw a "wow" video, truly astonishing videography and CGI so had to resurrect this thread. 34 million YouTube plays in 3 weeks!

They are real weapons too not lightweight training replicas. I was suitably impressed.

I have no idea how to get a video to show at all. :'( :ermm: An I can not find the thread containing how to. Maybe we should have a sticky about it.

We've posted a few times in threads but a sticky is a good idea. Basically just enclose the link to the youtube page in media tabs, and remove the "s" from "https". For some reason the forum software doesn't support https. Like this:

Ah right, I tried looking for the guide here at the forums but could not find it as I think it is included in another thread. I tried different ways to post but non worked.
The You Tube share link does not work if enclosed in brackets. You have to copy the url from the browser, https://www.youtube....h?v=LN8_LYjftjM and strip out the "s" from the "https" and enclose in brackets. Bit of a phaff ain't it.
Still I think I have it now.

And yet, when you do as Roger suggests, I only see a big blank spot in the post... no video, no link to click on, etc. I think this is some Firefox or FF addon issue, but I've never been able to find out what causes it. Oh, and it ONLY happens at Scot's. Youtube vids posted with media UBB tags work fine on my own private board (ProBoards). :shrug3:

That is odd. I stopped all the NoScript operating and I still get a black square telling me I need java set up.

Shame as you are missing a treat with this one.

This song doesn't talks about cocaine, it's about an abortion that Bebe, the singer, suffered. La canción no habla sobre la cocaina, habla sobre un aborto... con lo preciosa y triste que es y todo el mundo malinterpretandola.

Need Java set up? Why would anything be asking you for Java. I haven't had Java on any of my operating systems/machines for years.
