V.T. Eric Layton
Fortunately, neither my '82 nor my '96 Chevys have that capability. I unlock them and start them with a real metal key.
securitybreach
I remember seeing that last year, pretty smart of them.
zlim
the second box's job is to reach the actual key fob. The second attacker stands near the front of the house with the second relay unit, which amplifies the signal unlock request, expanding its range until a response is received from the actual key fob. Store the keys in a Faraday cage made of aluminum foil. http://thesurvivalmom.com/skill-of-the-month-make-a-faraday-cage/ Edited February 1, 2018 by zlim
mac
Fortunately, neither my '82 nor my '96 Chevys have that capability. I unlock them and start them with a real metal key. My 01 Silverado doesn't either.
zlim
Last night on Hawaii Five-0, a car was stolen using a hand held device that captured the fob's unlock code. Edited February 3, 2018 by zlim
