macdunn
I have been programming in HTML and PHP since 1996 and am what I consider fairly competent with both client-side and server-side. I have started creating videos with my Canon EOS 60d and exporting them to MP4 as the most compatible format I have found (for Windows machines, Apple iDevices and other viewing devices). However, I have not figured out the necessary HTML code to use so a visitor can click on a link on one of my pages and view an MP4 video. I would greatly appreciate any functioning code snippets, or links to such. TIA, -Mac-

Guest LilBambi
Here are a few more ways: Embedding with JW Player Embedding with Flowplayer Embedding with HTML5
sunrat
You just need to put the source url in a <video> tag. See http://www.w3schools.com/html/html5_video.asp Most browsers support mp4.
macdunn
Thanks to all for the suggestions. So far, I like the JW Player best, primarily because I am comfortable with Java/Javascript. Note to all: as I have mentioned in another thread, I am using NeroVideo 2014 editing software, not the Platinum version of the same. I have noticed some problems with this version and the most prevalent problem when an .MP4 file is created (Exported to with NeroVideo 2014 (non-Platinum) is that the exported .MP4 file plays only the audio track, not the video track, with the JW Player. This is a problem with the file when exported from NeroVideo 2014. I determined that it is a problem by using another .MP4 file from a different source and found that the second .MP4 played both the audio and video in full-sync. Unfortunately, the second software program is not a video editing program for editing videos which I have created with my Canon EOS60d (it is a DVD-ripper program which I used to converted my purchased DVD to .MP4). Thanks! -Mac-
V.T. Eric Layton
Yeah... JW Player is very popular with the offshore bootleg movie sites and with porn sites; ummm... not that I'd have any first hand experience with any of that. Someone told me about them, though.
