They're now trying to track down everyone he came into contact with. Uh-huh... good luck with that. "Stay calm," CDC says. (it's part of the larger "we must leave the boarders open to all comers" mantra) It's nearly impossible to solve this problem by banning flights. As I understand it, there are few direct commercial flights from the trouble spots into the US--people mostly route through various European airports.
