I have my work laptop windows 10 that joined a work domain and I have my desktop windows 7 that on workgroup.
At home and from my work laptop I used to access a shared folder on my desktop to do backup.
Now whenever I tried to access the shard folder the error below pops up
Desktop has avast security and I did disable that

I apologize for the lack of response here to your query. I'm not a Windows user much these days, so I'm not up-to-date on that fun OS. We do have some Windows pros here, though. I would hope that someone sees your post and offers some bit of advice regarding your problem.

Is each computer able to see each other via the ping and traceroute commands?
Have you checked with your IT department at work to see if they have made any changes to network connectivity rules recently?

If I disable the Avast on Desktop form my work laptop I can ping the desktop,,,,I didn't try the traceroute command.
Physical change to the laptop hasn't been done unless via pushing through online,I doubt but not sure
