telecomguy9
Hello everyone. I'm looking for a freeware application that can assist in making an application run as a service. Here's a link to basically what I want to do - http://forums.firedaemon.com/microsoft-off...1.html?amp;t=81 - but it outlines using a daemon app that isn't free. Anyone know of a free one I could use? The operating system this will be used on is Windows XP. zlim
I haven't found anything free.I did find something that isn't as ridiculously expensive as most of the programs out there.http://www.kwakkelflap.com/service.html
goretsky
Hello,Have you considered using the SrvAny program from the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit to run your application as a service?Regards,Aryeh Goretsky
telecomguy9
Thanks for the replies. The only free type of application I've found happens to be SrvAny from the Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit, but that won't work on a Windows XP machine.Zlim, I'll check out the application you found. Thanks.
