ross549
So, I have a strange little situation. My MacBook Pro is may main machine, and it is hooked up to my 23" monitor via DVI, has a USB keyboard and the magic mouse.I do everything I can to keep this machine from going to sleep. Since I turn off my monitor at night, having the lid closed would result in the machine sleeping. Having the monitor open results in two "displays" on the system. I have my desktop extended to the LCD, and it works fine until I turn my monitor off. Then the computer assumes it has been disconnected and all my programs crowd onto the LCD.In the morning, when I turn the monitor back on, the display wakes up, and all my programs move to the big LCD, and I have to move my IM, Skype, and IRC chat windows back up to the LCD display. This is kind of annoying.Does anyone know of a plugin or program that would automate this for me? All I want is three programs to go to their respective locations when I turn on the external LCD in the morning. Thanks,Adam
