Mike Healan
When I minimize Firebird, Thunderbird, or Mozilla (which I don't use anymore) for too long, it releases a large part of the RAM it normally uses for display. This is extraordinarily annoying, because it takes it longer to redraw than if I had started it fresh. I appreciate that they're trying not to be a RAM hog, but I have more than enough and it would be more convenient to leave these things open, especially Thunderbird. Is there some way to make them stop doing that?
GolfProRM
AFAIK this is supposed to be a "feature." I agree, there are times I wish it wouldn't do that, but for the most part, it's not a huge deal to tme. It's kinda nice when I hop into a video game and forget to actually close firebird that it doesn't take up the ram...I keep T-bird open all the time, but minimized, so I enjoy that it doesn't take up the RAM when it's minimized.
