I check the status on my order on Thursday. Shipping won't occur before August 16!!!!
The Aug date is what they changed ALL orders to until they get a better handle on things.  Now that the certification testing has been done and the first 2k are actually being shipped, that date will be changing.  It looks like those who had original shipping dates for April, May and June, will get new dates starting about mid May.

The Aug 16 date was put on all orders when the certification issue came about.  That will remain until Farnell or RS actually have the units on hand to fill your order.  The original 10k have been, or are being delivered now.  The ones being manufactured by Farnell and RS should start reaching customers about mid June and all 350k should be delivered by mid July.

I actually received an email this week from Element14, the Canadian distributor, and they say my order should ship by June 30!

Yeah.  I got the same email.  I think everyone got it.  But they won't change the estimated delivery date on your order till it just about ready to ship.  They learned their lesson the first time around when they set delivery dates and then couldn't deliver. :'(

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. ~C. Where can I buy one?
You can buy the Raspberry Pi through Premier Farnell/Element 14and RS Components. Both distributors sell all over the world.

Link still works here. The pi sold for £135.
There are a few more on UK e-bay looks like they are selling for around £120 which is not a bad profit margin at all.
Looks like most folk are waiting for their pi to arrive from the suppliers rather than paying through the nose.I'm really looking forward to getting me hands on mine. :D
