John M
I was wondering if anyone was having the same problem as me. The text on my new Sony 19" monitor (CPD-G420) is slightly fuzzy when running @ 1600x1200@32bpp @ 85Hz. This is in all apps to some extent (some more so than others). I've tried fiddling about with ClearType (I'm running WinXP Pro) and the convergence settings on the monitor but nothing seems to help. My question is: is this normal for monitors running at this res? Or should I get it checked out by Sony. I'm asking here first because I don't live near a Sony Service Centre and I need the monitor for my work each day.In case it helps, my relevant machine specs are as follows:AMD Athlon XP1800+ on a ASUS A7V133 (with latest BIOS) with 1152MB PC133 RAM,GeForce4 MX460 (no overclock) video card,2x 20GB Seagate Barracuda 3 (7200rpm) running in RAID 0 (C: and D:)1x TDK CD-RWWinXP Pro SP1 + hotfixesMain Apps are:Adobe PremiereAdobe PhotoshopAny suggestions would be greatly appreciated.CheersJohn
muckshifter
I take it that you have the correct monitor drivers (.INF file) installed? What does it look like at 1280 x 1024 @100Hz then @85Hz
