Keith Posted May 1, 2003 Share Posted May 1, 2003 The Phoenix/Firebird browser seems to be shaping up well, bloat wise, and speed wise. What I’d really like to see is a full screen (theater) view that’s like Opera’s— all screen space available to the page being viewed….. no other controls in the way. A way to turn off all buttons and scroll bars…. I came to appreciate theater view in IE and Opera…. But all things being imperfect, both have problems of their own. But if Mozilla would put a truly full screen option into Firebird, I’d be ready to dump the other two. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Prelude76 Posted May 1, 2003 Share Posted May 1, 2003 Pressing F11, or VIEW -> FULL SCREEN is how to do it.One thing I noticed, both in Mozilla 1.3 and Phoenix 0.6, is that there still is one line (navigation bar) shown. You could go VIEW -> SHOW/HIDE -> NAVIGATION TOOLBAR, but i dont know if theres a way to automatically hide it in full screen mode. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

GolfProRM Posted May 1, 2003 Share Posted May 1, 2003 Just a bit of advice for anyone running Phoenix/Firebird/Mozilla Firebird.. if you go to the Firebird home/help page at http://texturizer.net/firebird/ you can download all sorts of extensions for the browser (there's an extension link on the left). You can also download a bunch of themes (Theme link on the left), to help customize your browser. It's a big help if you're looking for Firebird to do something special There's extensions for just about everything...P.S. After you install an extension (it should install automatically), you just restart Firebird and then the extension should be enabled.
