Capt.Crow
I've had a look at that . Thank you. I am running Debian 6 squeeze on this box. The easiest way to show you ,would be to take and post a snapshot. How is that done . I have tried snapshots many times but if it happens at all I can-not for the life of me find them . securitybreach
I use scrot..The syntax is simple. scrot to take a screenshot scrot -s to select a window to take a shot of scrot -d 2 to wait two seconds before taking shot .... And it all works from the Run menu.

Capt.Crow
solution to unwanted architecture. Here goes :- I used the GUI to work my way down to the offending files there were two in root /etc/dpkg/dpkg.cfg.d-----Then I opened a terminal and su /root. Once there I typed in ...rm.... Then just dragged the files over from the GUI and pressed enter.. I was able to check all gone by running symantic. Did a bit of updating and at long last got a clean exit.. Probably not the cleanest way to do it .. But it worked all good . Now for gnash ...
