yeah....just weird With all the searching we all did, images included we couldn't find it?
Now I need to see if it's still available!

Well it is on Github https://github.com/haochending/XLander
I don't know if that's the same game....it talks about meteors and I never saw any when I played the game.....but thanks for the link all the same....

I discovered it early in my linux career....and I bet it was when I installed Debian Woody.  A friend of mine burned cd's for me and I remember being impressed with all the stuff that came with Woody.   I just found in their full pkg list for Debian 3.0 this:
xlander 19920427-4........  the search continues.

"Do you begin to see, then, what kind of world we are creating? It is the exact opposite of the stupid hedonistic Utopias that the old reformers imagined. A world of fear and treachery and torment, a world of trampling and being trampled upon, a world which will grow not less but more merciless as it refines itself. Progress in our world will be progress toward more pain." -George Orwell, 1984

Just go buy STALKER and play that. You'll never play any other game again. ;)

You are bringing back some really OLD memories. I haven't read a Hardy Boys book since about 1970. ;)

ummm...that's gotta be Callie Shaw, not Iola.  Maybe the 70's ver. were different from the 60's and earlier versions.

She did Nancy Drew's voice in the Hardy Boys vid game. This chick here did Lola...

I faintly remember the Hardy Boys on TV as a youngun, but I did read the books back when I was little. My mother turned me on to the Hardys and Nancy.

These are the ones I remember from when I was a kid...

My brother and I started reading them when we lived in Ontario mid-60's on to when in Va. Bch in the early 70's.
There, my dad stopped at the used book shops and bought the old HB books some with a dust cover! .  But the original HB's on the tube I remember were b/w and featured on the Mickey Mouse Club.  It may not have been a series...still remember the tune...."Gold dubloons and pieces of eight, all belonged to Applegate...The chest is there but wait....where are the gold and pieces of eight, pieces of eight, pieces of eight."  The show was based on book one, The Tower Treasure.  Thanks to Frank and Joe, I am still a jr. Sleuth...finding that game is proof I haven't lost that skill.

Oh man, the Hardy Boys! What a gateway drug to reading that series was. Here's another one of my favorites... Eventually I found my way to science fiction and never looked back!
