Last week my HDTV cable signal started acting up. I got weird colored bands and pixelation in the video. Did not see it with Netflix so it was obviously a cable issue.
The phone tech tested my line and didn't like what he saw, so he sent an actual live person to check things out. That guy told me he had another call in the neighborhood so it was probably an area issue which he couldn't fix.
He checked my signal at the TV and wasn't happy. So he went to the basement and replaced my tangle of splitters with a single amplifier unit. That solved about 80% of the issue but I still got spikes of pixelation.
The tech reported it to the area remediators and yesterday all the pixelation went away so I guess they fixed the wider issue. It helped my Internet speed too, which is now smoking hot. I'm happy.
