I think that phone is AT&T only. I just upgraded from my 32GB 3GS, and it is long in the tooth these days. A 3GS is only going to be useful to those who are going to carry an iphone. If they want to use any number of apps, it will simply not work very well. My 3GS was slow, stuttered, and crashed apps too frequently for my taste. Besides, if you factor the cost of the device over the two years you own it.... the basic iPhone 4 is a phenominally better device, only will cost you that additional 100.00, whic is less than 5 bucks per month over the life of the contract.I am holding back on my thoughts for now... you should have a good idea what i think by the end of the weekend.Adam Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If I had an expiring/expired contract, I wouldn't see a reason not to get a 4S (if you were considering an iPhone, that is). It's the 4, just better. Plus, AT&T says I'm not eligible for a full upgrade anyway (though they'll let me upgrade at the discounted price...plus $250) so I'll just wait for the next one. I don't think AT&T will let you have the phone without a data plan. And then I also don't know what their cheapest plan is. It looks like $40? So you'd be paying at least $55. It is a faster iPhone 4.The cheapest data plan for an iPhone on AT&T is 15.00 for 200MB. My old 3GS has been moved to my wife's line, and she does not use the internet that much to justify the extra cost of the 2GB plan.
