I had a weird experience last night. I queued several documents to print from laptop running openSUSE Leap and left the machine for a few hours. When I returned no documents had printed, and after a really annoying few minutes I realized that the printer settings had changed and "Enable Printing" was turned off.  After I finally figured out what was wrong (it was 12:30 am and I wasn't at my best by any means), I changed the printer configuration in YaST to enable printing and everything was fine. Question is how the heck did printing get disabled? It was printing 5 minutes before I queued the documents and left the machine. Very strange.

Hard to say honestly as there could multiple things that would cause that to happen.

A world of fear and treachery and torment, a world of trampling and being trampled upon, a world which will grow not less but more merciless as it refines itself. Progress in our world will be progress toward more pain." -George Orwell, 1984

12:30am , eh? Are you sure you didn't feed anything between midnight and then?
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. ~C. S. Lewis
