yesterday was a really sucky day for entertainment people: Arnold Palmer, the pitcher Fernandez, Monty Python Terry Jones :(
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. ~C. S. Lewis

well, this is quite the late post for me but,

sorry to see him go, he was (and is still) my all-time favorite golf pro.

I remember every kid on the street used to sit on the edge of their seats when A.P. was taking part in the *televised* tournaments.
Back in the day when the screens were very grainy black and white.
After the broadcasts without exception they would appear outdoors Playing "Golf" . No one had clubs but bits of stick etc were the order of the day. Putting into holes purposely made in the green verges of the footpaths. The golf balls were supplied by the pond near the 13th green at the local golf club. Minnow nets with extra long poles made it easy for us kids to fish the balls out.
Arnold was a big hero for all the kids on our street.
Memories of good times . He gave us a lot of joy . R.I.P.
