Love it. As a matter of fact, I haven't watched it in quite a while. Maybe I'll fire up the DVDs later this week.

Yeah, I never watched it when it was actually being broadcast. Years later, Donna, a member from my board, mentioned how much she and her family loved the show. I checked it out on Hulu, and after watching a couple episodes there, I ordered the whole shebang from Amazon. Great stuff! I'm amazed that it got canceled by Fox, yet they leave on most of that other silly carp on that network. :(

Make sure you watch them in the order the producer intended.
When they were broadcast, the execs decided to re-order the episodes and totally borked the story.

It's like the Johnny Cash song, "A Boy Named Sue".

Vera! :D

From Our Mrs. Reynolds:

Quote

[Jayne is walking menacingly towards Mal with a large gun]
Jayne: Six men came to kill me one time. And the best of 'em carried this. It's a Callahan full-bore auto-lock. Customized trigger, double cartridge thorough gauge. It is my very favorite gun.
[he holds the gun out to Mal]
Mal: [exclaims in Chinese] You offering me a trade?
Jayne: A trade? ****, it's theft. This the best gun made by man. It has *extreme* sentimental value. It's miles more worthy 'n what you got!
Mal: What I got? She has a name.
Jayne: So does this. I call it Vera.
Mal: Well, my days of not takin' ya seriously are certainly comin' to a middle.

Yes, the movie, Serenity made in 2005 was very good and filled in some areas for me; especially about the Reavers.

I loved both Firefly TV series and the movie Serenity.

Now I want the comics!

Yes, I think that is the order they are presented in the DVD box set and what Joss Whedon intended.
