Talkin' 'Bout My Generation

I discovered an interesting series of articles in Forbes Magazine by Neil Howe - where he looks at each of the "Generations" born since 1900 and still with us. He sketches out how they differ and what their general social and economic philosophies are. It's interesting to see if you fit the profile for your generation.

Speaking personally, my parents were definitely from the G.I. generation. I am a very early Boomer and in fact I share more life experience and thought process with the Silent Generation that preceded me. That is definitely a good thing as far as economics goes. I'm a lot more computer literate than most "Silents" are but that is due to my education and job - certainly computer literacy was not the universal requirement during my working life that it is now.

My daughter is very late Generation "X" and I should say she's a lot more like the "Millennials" that came after her as far as her philosophy of life is concerned.

You might enjoy looking at the series, finding your generation and seeing if it applies to you. There are 7 articles in all.
