daveydoom
A friend asked me if there was any way to password protect a Thunderbird email account. I've read where it can be done with IMAP accounts but not POP accounts. Is this true? Is there any way to password protect a POP email account with Thunderbird? I've looked for extensions but haven't found one.Regards, Dave
keithy397
Hey Dave,I'm not sure you can password an individual account and I haven't heard of an extension for that, but you can password your stored data.Check this out from the Thunderbird Knowledge Base. tommyj12
With my POP account in TB I use the password for the POP account. It works for the accounts from my isp as does Gmail POP.
